MAGGIE YANG

CPA

Maggie Yang is a CPA, CFP, and MBA running a boutique tax and financial planning firm in Fullerton. What sets her apart is the thing most firms keep separate: she brings the tax side and the planning side together under one roof, and she does it year-round instead of once a year at tax time. Her clients, busy families and business owners with genuinely complex finances, stay with her because she moves them from reactive to planned. Warm, patient, sharp. Professional without the starch.

The brief

Maggie had just invested in a new brand and website built to reflect how she works. The missing piece was her, the photos hadn't caught up. She wanted personal branding images to finish the job: professional but entirely approachable, outdoors and natural, nothing stiff or overly posed.

The approach

Before I picked up a camera, I picked up her brand guidelines, treating her palette as the starting point rather than an afterthought. The photography had to belong to the same brand her designers had just built. So I scouted [Location], where the tones and natural light echoed her palette and sat comfortably beside her new site. On the day, I kept direction loose: real posture, real expressions, and room for Maggie to just be herself.

“I had a great experience working with Kevin at Shuttercraft Photography. He was always responsive, easy to reach, and kept me informed throughout the process.

I also really liked his photography style. The photos came out natural, soft, personal, and professional without feeling overly posed.

Kevin made the whole experience easy and comfortable, and I’d definitely recommend him.”

Layers of story

Portraits were only part of the plan. I also shot the location itself, architectural lines and abstract environmental details that hold her brand's mood without her in the frame. A portrait says who Maggie is; the environmental work says how her world feels, and gives a webpage or post texture to lean on.

The result

Maggie walked away with a library that looks like her and carries range across web, social, and marketing, portraits, lifestyle, and environmental frames pulling from one visual language. The brand, the website, and the photography finally speak as one: professional, approachable, and unmistakably Maggie.
